Is there an easy way to sort out and categorize brushes in PS?
I've got a lot of brushes that are just piling up in the main brush menu and it's getting extremely hard and frustrating to scroll through all of them to find one that I need.

I delete the brush files after I add them (to save space on the hdd) so the brushes do not show up on the click-out menu.

(as you can see, I only have a few brush sets saved in the brush folder, which do show up in the menu, but what I want to do now is to take all these unsorted brushes and create new categories for them so that if I need to use foliage brushes I can click the category/brush set on the right and it'll bring up those foliage brushes only)

Right now, I've got a all the brushes I have installed at the moment backed up to a master brush file but I want to sort these brushes out into categories such as all the foliage brushes goes into one category, all the cloud type brushes will go into a separate category etc (which I can then select by clicking the little icon to bring down the brush menu).

How do I go about doing this? Is there any easy way to do it without having to copy all the brushes to each category I want to create and then deleting the brushes that don't fit in those categories?

Just thinking about going through the process gives me a headache, so any help/suggestions on how to proceed will be appreciated.

Thanks,
Natasha.

Hi Natasha, thanks for the faving song of the stars.

What a wonderful gallery you have, you nebulas look so deep and dreamy and the colors look so liquidy - yes, that's the technical term ;)
So now I have to convince myself I never saw your work or I'll have to go off and do another nebula myself. And I have other work that needs finishing.
